Meet The Onyx Team

Owner
Lisa Oppegaard
In 2019 Lisa opened Onyx Wellness in hopes of providing a space where people can explore natural healing in a unique and fun way. She enjoys visiting with everyone who walks through the front door and is grateful for the incredible support from the Billings community. Lisa grew up in Billings. As much as she loves to travel and explore the many gifts this life has to offer, she is honored to be a part of the simple yet explosive place that is Montana. Lisa loves creating, learning, inspired conversation, delicious food, a good joke, and music and dancing.
“If your body was a piece of music, how would you want it to sound? It might play differently each day, but it definitely requires a little attention and fine tuning. This is what Onyx does for me. It’s a place to fine tune your mind, body, and spirit so that it sounds just right.” - Lisa

Yoga Instructor
Beth Bakken
Beth grew up on the prairies of eastern Montana and has lived here all of her life except for a few years during college. Her 25 year teaching career came to a close recently, but she's not done learning yet! Beth has been tutoring students who have dyslexia for the past year and totally enjoys the one on one interaction. She loves to go on hikes with her husband and two dogs. She also enjoys bicycling, paddle boarding, reading and traveling. Beth's favorite thing at Onyx Wellness is yoga, of course! But she loves getting a massage and really loves the people - those who work at Onyx and our clients who are so warm and easy to get to know!

Now that Christine is empty nesting she is the newest fave behind the counter at Onyx where she loves quieting her mind in the infrared sauna.
