MEET THE ONYX TEAM

Owner
Cindy McLean
Onyx Wellness is excited to welcome our new owner, Cindy McLean. Cindy was born and raised in Billings, Montana where she graduated from nursing school at Carroll College. She moved to California shortly after getting married but found she missed the beauty of Big Sky Country. In 1998, Cindy and her husband Brian returned to Montana to start their family.
Cindy has had a passion for nursing from a young age. For over 25 years, she has served the Billings community in various medical settings. In 2019, when Cindy was diagnosed with Acute myeloid Leukemia, health and wellness became an even higher priority. Thankfully, she achieved complete remission and views it as a second chance to live life to the fullest.
Outside of her work, you'll find Cindy spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves exploring the great outdoors through hiking, golfing, and rafting trips with her husband Brian and their dogs, Winston and Willow. Gardening and yardwork are also favorite hobbies of hers at home.
Cindy takes her grandfather's advice "whatever you do, do it well" to heart. Her love language is serving others, and she looks forward to helping you learn about health, wellness, mind, body and spirit at Onyx. Cindy is grateful to now serve the Billings community in this new role.

Founder
Lisa Oppegaard
In 2019 Lisa opened Onyx Wellness in hopes of providing a space where people can explore natural healing in a unique and fun way. She enjoys visiting with everyone who walks through the front door and is grateful for the incredible support from the Billings community. Lisa grew up in Billings. As much as she loves to travel and explore the many gifts this life has to offer, she is honored to be a part of the simple yet explosive place that is Montana. Lisa loves creating, learning, inspired conversation, delicious food, a good joke, and music and dancing.
“If your body was a piece of music, how would you want it to sound? It might play differently each day, but it definitely requires a little attention and fine tuning. This is what Onyx does for me. It’s a place to fine tune your mind, body, and spirit so that it sounds just right.” - Lisa
